This model is a replica of a 1950s Otto Link “Double Band”
Super Tone Master which was the choice of great players such as Eddie “Lockjaw”
Davis, Johnny Griffin, Dexter Gordon and many others. There is a reason why it
was so popular, with a full bodied sound that still has plenty of dynamic range
and the softest of sub-tones. The Super D New York is Gold plated and has a
lower baffle giving a darker quality to the sound, it is supplied with a BG
Flex ligature and cap.
